With an emphasis on the life-saving aspect of early diagnosis, these Heart Care Centers put specific emphasis on the use of advanced technology in diagnostic instruments.  Among these are the 2 x 64 Cross-Section Dual Source Computerized Tomography capable of performing a cardiac angioplasty in 6 seconds.  The PET CT enabling a detailed imaging of the heart, the Flash CT, which is the fastest tomography instrument in the world, able to perform a cardiac angioplasty in 0.25 seconds while also emitting the lowest radiation levels compared to any other instrument.

 

Medical Performance Indicators

 

Operations on seniors, diabetics, or patients with a history of heart attack, heart surgery, contraction and expansion disorders of the heart, and malfunctioning of the kidneys, liver, and lungs face higher risks during operations.  Various risk scores exist for an objective evaluation of the patient taking such factors into account.  In these scorings, weighted risk numbers are calculated and the “Euroscore” is the most commonly used scoring system.

 

  • The Euroscore criteria states that the expected mortality rate in an open heart surgery is 3.8%, whereas the percentage of the Acibadem Healthcare Group is 1.6%
  • The Euroscore criteria states that the expected mortality rate in a coronary bypass is 2.7%, whereas the percentage of the Acibadem Healthcare Group is 1.0%
