EOS (3D Skeletal System Imaging)

The EOS is an imaging device used to provide front, back, and side images of the spine and the entire lower extremities at the same time.  In spinal curvature diseases, such as scoliosis, kyphosis or angular deformities of the lower extremities, the EOS is a key tool for the treatment process.  The 3-dimensional modeling assists surgeon prior to not only spinal curvature operations, but also knee and hip procedures.

The imaging process is very quick; approximately 20 seconds, which begins once the patient is in the correct imaging position.  The radiation emitted from the machine is far less than a standard x-ray and is equipped with a micro dose feature for use with children.
